Thunder Signs Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to Multi-Year Contract Extension

During the 2020-21 season, Gilgeous-Alexander became the second player in NBA history (Larry Bird) to average at least 23.7 points and 5.9 assists on 50.8 percent shooting and 41.8 percent 3-point shooting

The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to a multi-year contract extension, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.


"We are excited to have Shai representing our organization for many years to come and couldn’t be happier for him and his family," said Presti. "He is a tremendous basketball player, but is also a leader that infuses optimism, confidence and collaboration into all of his interactions professionally and personally.
