Strasbourg slowed down Monaco’s hegemony this season. In the semi-finals of the French Cup, the SIG defeated the ‘Roca’ 93-89, preventing Sasa Obradovic’s side from defending the title they won last year.

Now Massimo Cancellieri’s side are preparing to take on JDA Dijon in the final.

Paul Lacombe was outstanding against his former team, scoring 30 points with six assists and four rebounds, while Tyrus McGee added 25 points, including an excellent 5-of-6 from three-point range.

Mike James and Elie Okobo scored 27 points apiece, while Matthew Strazel’s 12 were not enough for Monaco, who are now out of the title race.
