Sam Hauser reportedly signing four-year, $45 million extension with Celtics

Last year Hauser produced 9 points in 22 minutes shooting 42 percent from three on nearly 6 attempts per game.

The Boston Celtics have reached an agreement with Sam Hauser on a four-year, $45 million extension.

The news was reported by Adrian Wojnarowski.

The sharpshooter, who will earn about 2 million next season, in 2023/24 produced 9 points in 22 minutes shooting 42 percent from three on nearly 6 attempts per game.

This is the third extension signed by the defending champions, following those of White (125 million in 4 years) and Tatum (315 in 5).

In 2025/26 the Celtics will have a payroll of about 225 million, plus another 210 expected in Luxury Tax. The total – 435- should be enough to take away from the 2024-25 Suns the title of most expensive team in NBA history.

In addition, by exceeding the Second Apron again (set around 208 million), the Celtics will not be able to trade the 2032 and 2033 first-round picks.

The plan of the Front Office is clear, barring marginal changes this will be the group for the next few years.
