The Miami Heat have added power forward Micah Potter and guards Javonte Smart and Dru Smith to their training camp roster.
The 3 rookies have signed an Exhibit 10 deal.

Smart ended his junior season at LSU with averages of 16.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals.

The Heat roster now stands at 19 players, with 14 guaranteed contracts and a two-way player.

Denzel Valentine reportedly to sign a partially guaranteed two-year deal with Cavaliers

Valentine played last season with Bulls averaging 6.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Vanderbilt was Restricted free agent and last season he averaged 5.4 points, 5.8 rebounds in 64 games.

Lakers trade Marc Gasol to Grizzlies, the spanish big man reportedly returning to Europe

The Los Angeles Lakers will trade Marc Gasol, a 2024 second-round pick and cash to the Grizzlies for the draft rights to Wang Zhelin,  Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

The 2013 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, who played 11 years with the Grizzlies, will work together with the team on his release to allow him to stay in Spain with his family.

 

Lakers Sign DeAndre Jordan

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed center DeAndre Jordan, it was announced today by Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

A 13-year NBA veteran, Jordan appeared in 57 games (43 starts) for the Nets last season, where he averaged 7.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 blocks in 21.9 minutes, while shooting a career-best 76.3 percent (190-249) from the field. Jordan is the NBA’s all-time leader in career field goal percentage, having shot 67.4 percent (3527-5234) from the field throughout his career and is the only player in NBA history with multiple seasons shooting over 70 percent from the field.

A one-time NBA All-Star, Jordan has played in 932 games (756 starts) for the Nets, Knicks, Mavericks and Clippers, holding career averages of 9.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.6 blocks in 27.4 minutes. He has appeared in 57 playoff games (all starts) for the Clippers, averaging 9.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.

Jordan is a three-time All-NBA selection, including one First Team selection (2016) and two Third Team selections (2015 & 2017), and led the league in rebounding in consecutive seasons from 2013-15. He was named to the All-Defensive First Team in 2015 and 2016 and helped the United States win a gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The former UConn big man spent last season between the Indiana Pacers (2.6 ppg in 5 games) and Fort Wayne Mad Ants (8 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 2.8 bpg).

 

Emanuel Terry reportedly joining Sacramento Kings on Exhibit 10 deal

Emanuel Terry has signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Sacramento Kings and will be on the roster for the training camp, James Ham reports.

The athletic big man spent last year  between KK Crvena Zvedza (5.5 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.1 bpg in Euroleague) and G League (10.8 ppg, 10.4 rpg with the Agua Caliente Clippers).

The Kings also acquired his G League rights.

Pelicans reportedly signing Malcolm Hill for training camp

Malcolm Hill will sign a training camp contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, Andrew Lopez reports.

The former Illinois swingman spent last year with Hapoel Jerusalem, averaging 10 points and 4.6 rebounds in 19 games.

 

Bulls announce Tyler Cook, Alize Johnson, Stanley Johnson, Matt Thomas, Ethan Thompson.

The Chicago Bulls have signed 5 free agents: power forwards Tyler Cook and Alize Johnson, small forward Stanley Johnson and guards Matt Thomas and Ethan Thompson.

Stanley Johnson, the No.8 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, last year averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game for the Toronto Raptors.

Thomas spent last season between Toronto (2.7 ppg) and Utah (3.6 ppg).

 

Luke Kornet to join Boston Celtics

Luke Kornet will sign an Exhibit contract with the Boston Celtics,  Chris Grenham reports.

The big man played 18 games with the Celtics last season, averaging 4.4ppg.

Orlando Magic sign 3 players

The Orlando Magic have announced the signings of Free Agents Jeff Dowtin, Hassani Gravett and Jon Teske.
Dowtin and Teske spent last season with the Lakeland Magic, while Gravett played with MZT Skopje Aerodrom in Macedonia.

Spurs sign rookie Joe Wieskamp to two-way deal

The San Antonio Spurs announced that they have signed guard Joe Wieskamp  to a two-way contract.

The former Iowa guard averaged 10.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in 23.4 minutes in the Las Vegas Summer League.

Wieskamp was the No.41 pick of the 2021 NBA Draft.

Pacers TJ Warren remains out indefinitely

Indiana Pacers forward T.J. Warren’s stress fracture in his left foot is healing during the rehabilitation process, but not at the pace previously anticipated.

Warren remains out indefinitely, and further updates will be provided as warranted.

Suns sign Chandler Hutchison

The Phoenix Suns today signed free agent forward Chandler Hutchison.

Hutchison (6-6, 210 pounds) has appeared in 97 career games (25 starts) with Chicago and Washington through his first three NBA seasons, also appearing in two playoff games with the Wizards this past season. The 25-year-old holds career regular season averages of 5.7 points on 44.1% shooting and 3.8 rebounds in 18.2 minutes.

Originally the 22nd overall pick by the Bulls in the 2018 NBA Draft, Hutchison entered the league following a standout four-year career at Boise State University. As a senior in 2017-18, media tabbed him the Mountain West Player of the Year as he averaged 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals for the Broncos.
