Zenit St. Petersburg have announced the arrival of Sergey Karasev.
The guard, who signed a one-year deal, returns to the club he played with from 2011 to 2019.
Karasev averaged 5.7 points and 2 rebounds in Euroleague last year with Khimki.

Olympiacos reportedly offering a 2-year extension to Alexandar Vezenkov

According to SDNA, Olympiacos offered Aleksandar Vezenkov a two-year contract extension.
The forward, already under contract for next season, has also a Greek passport.
In the last season Vezenkov produced averages of 11.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in Euroleague, shooting with 46% from the field, 43% from three and 89% from the free throws line.

According to ‘Fostonsport’ the team led by Ettore Messina and Christos Stavropoulos would be monitoring with interest the evolution of the relationship between Vassilis Spanoulis and Olympiacos.

At nearly 39, ‘Kill Bill’ produced 11.3 points and 4.6 assists per game in Euroleague for the Reds.

His contract is about to expire, and Milan would be ready to bet on him in case of separation with Olympiacos.

The article specifies that the player’s priority remains a contract extension with Olympiacos.

According to Aris Barkas, the former Gonzaga has decided to wait for offers from the NBA, and therefore for now he will not accept any proposals from Europe.

Pangos averaged 13.6 points (45% FG, 39% 3p, 84% FT) and 6.6 assists in 39 Euroleague games.

 

Ex-Utah State Chris Smith signs with Japanese champs Chiba Jets

Former Utah State wing Chris Smith has signed a deal with the Japanese defending champion Chiba Jets, sources told Sportando. Karol Wasiek of Sportowefakty first reported about Smith moving to Japan for next season.

Smith spent this season in Poland and was an important contributor for BMSlam Stal Ostrow in their run to the FIBA Europe Cup final and the Polish national championship. He averaged 15.4 points on 45% from 3-point range in the FIBA Europe Cup and Polish league.

Thomas Hieu-Courtois joins SIG Strasbourg

FMP appoint Nenad Stefanovic as new coach

FMP announced that they have appointed Nenad Stefanović as their new head coach.

Stefanović (36 years) is a very young coach who’s been making excellent results with youth selections of BC Žarkovo and BC Zemun in the past couple of years. He was also the head coach of BC Zemun senior team.

It is interesting to mention that Stefanović is actually returning to FMP as he played for the Panthers back in 2007.

FMP also announced that Stefanović will name his coaching staff in the next couple of days, while he will then start creating the 2021/22 first team roster.

French prospect Ousmane Dieng to join New Zealand Breakers

French prospect Ousmane Dieng will play with New Zealand Breaker’s next season in NBL’s Next Stars program.

Per ESPN, Dieng, 18, is ranked No. 14 on ESPN’s rankings of best available prospects for the 2022 draft. ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony describes Dieng as an excellent passer who shows versatility as a shot-maker and defender. He played for Parisian Academy INSEP in France’s third division.

Dieng was heavily recruited to play major college basketball and join the NBA’s G League Ignite program ahead of his entry into the 2022 NBA draft.

Adam Ramstedt signs with GTK Gliwice
