Rokas Giedraitis, Makai Mason leave ALBA Berlin
This year Giedraitis averaged 13.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in Euroleague
Forward Rokas Giedraitis, Center Landry Nnoko and Guard Makai Mason leave ALBA BERLIN. Nnoko, whose contract ended at the end of the season, has joined the Serbian EuroLeague club Red Star Belgrade. Rokas Giedraitis and Makai Mason both make use of exit options in their contracts and will not return to Berlin.

Rokas Giedraitis moved from Rytas Vilnius to Berlin in summer 2018 and made a total of 126 appearances in two seasons in ALBA dress. In the past 2019/2020 season, the 27-year-old Lithuanian scored 10.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in the easyCredit BBL and 13.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per in the EuroLeague Lot. In 2018/2019 he was appointed the best small forward in the All-EuroCup First Team.
Landry Nnoko was contracted in the 2018/2019 season in December after his contract with Sakarya BB in Turkey was terminated. The 26-year-old Cameroonian stood on the floor 109 times for ALBA BERLIN. In easyCredit BBL, he performed an average of 10.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in 2019/2020 and 8.7 points and 5.8 rebounds in the EuroLeague.
Makai Mason joined ALBA BERLIN from Baylor University in the summer of 2019 after four NCAA seasons. The 25-year-old guard, who has both a German and an American passport, scored an average of 3.9 points and 0.8 assists in the easyCredit BBL and 6.3 points in a total of 38 ALBA games in his first professional season and 1.1 assists in the EuroLeague.
Rokas Giedraitis and Landry Nnoko have reached a total of five finals with ALBA in their two years – including the EuroCup final – and became German champions and cup winners in 2020. Makai Mason also won the cup in February, but did not return to the team for personal reasons after the Corona break and was therefore not part of the ALBA squad at the final tournament for the German Championship in Munich.
