Ricky Rubio says he is “a little tired” of NBA trades on eve of contract year
Spanish guard will be a free agent at the end of the season
Spanish guard Ricky Rubio has said, in an interview with newspaper Marca, that he is “a bit tired” of NBA trades, adding that “every player like me prefers stability”. Rubio has been traded three times in the last 12 months, going from Phoenix to Oklahoma City to Minnesota to ultimately Cleveland, where he will play in 2021-22.
Rubio will be a free agent at the end of next season and discussed his future in the interview: “I will be a free agent and consider my options. The way I have played will determine my market value. Along with my family, we will assess the options and together take the next step”, he said, not ruling out a return to Europe (while adding that he’s not thinking of it as of now).
