Real Madrid officially signs Usman Garuba: the player thus returns to Spain on a three-year contract: this is the official statement.
Real Madrid C. F. has reached an agreement with Usman Garuba whereby the player is linked to the club for the next three seasons, until June 30, 2027.
Usman Garuba returns to face his second stint at Real Madrid after playing three seasons in the NBA, two of them with the Houston Rockets (2021-2023) and the last with the Golden State Warriors (2023-2024).
The power forward arrived in 2013 to our youth academy, where he played in all its categories and where he was champion of Spain as a child, cadet and junior, in addition to winning two Minicopas and the European Junior Cup in 2019.
In that season, Garuba debuted with the Real Madrid first team, with which he won 4 titles in three campaigns: 1 League, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Supercups. In addition, he was elected Best Young Player of the Endesa League and Euroleague in the 2020-2021 season.
With the Spanish national team Usman Garuba has been 42 times international and has won the gold medal in the 2022 European Championship.
