Real comeback comes up short as Barcelona holds on to win Clasico

Barça gets the win 79-72.

Barcelona confirms its good start of the Euroleague season by scoring a win in the Clasico against Real Madrid, who suffers the 4th loss in 5 Euroleague games played.

Difference was mostly made in the first half, where Barça led 48-27 reaching a 23-point lead early in the 3rd quarter; Real’s prideful comeback wasn’t enough to turn the game around as the arch-rivals equals Bayern and Zalgiris at the top of the standings with a 4-1 record.

Kyle Kuric led Barça in scoring with 15 points, with Davies adding 14 and Higgins 13; Real had 14 points and 7 rebounds from Trey Thompkins, and 13 points from Abalde with Campazzo (7 points, 2/9 FG) and Tavares (6 points and just 1 rebound) notching both disappointing performances in the loss.
