Michael Rubin, CEO of Fanatics and a member of the Philadelphia 76ers ownership group, has purchased 2,000 tickets for the crucial Game 6 against the New York Knicks to prevent another invasion of opposing fans.
During Game 4 at the Wells Fargo Center, Knicks fans dominated the stands and led MVP chants in support of their player, Jalen Brunson, as the 76ers suffered a 97-92 defeat.
Rubin’s move is aimed at filling the arena with home fans and regaining home-court advantage. The Knicks currently lead the series 3-2, with the 76ers on the brink of elimination despite Tyrese Maxey’s heroic Game 5 performance, in which he scored 46 points.
