Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports has learned from sources that the New Orleans Pelicans have placed Jonas Valanciunas on the trade block.
The Pelicans are looking for a bigger, more agile big who can also guard the rim.
After agreeing to a two-year, $33.1 million contract extension in October 2021, Valanciunas’ current deal is coming to an end. In late May, Valanciunas publicly stated his desire to extend his contract with the Pelicans.
The CAA’s Mitch Nathan and Drew Morrison are Valanciunas’s representatives.
Regarding Jarrett Allen, the Pelicans have contacted the Cleveland Cavaliers.
