Patrick Beverley stays with Hapoel Tel Aviv: “I had offers from the EuroLeague, but I cannot leave”
Patrick Beverley is not leaving Hapoel Tel Aviv, but the former NBA player has revealed that he has received offers from the EuroLeague.
Hapoel Tel Aviv, good news on the market front: Patrick Beverley announced a few weeks ago that he was considering leaving Israel and Hapoel Tel Aviv. During a recent episode of The Pat Bev Show with Rone, the former NBA player stated that he has made the decision to stay with Hapoel Tel Aviv. Below are his comments.
Beverley’s words: “There were some Euroleague teams that offered me a contract. I received offers, but I don’t want to name those teams because I don’t want to create problems for them. But some Euroleague teams came forward because they needed a guard like me on their roster and would have signed me with enthusiasm. I had to make a decision by Thursday. I talked to coach Dedas, coach Itoudis, and even though everyone around me was telling me that the Euroleague was a better opportunity, I decided to stay. I cannot leave, I came here and I made promises to this club and to these fans. I am not leaving”.
