Partizan replies to Nikola Mirotic in official statement
ABA Liga champion released a statement in which questions the sudden decision to pull out of negotiations
In a long press release, ABA Liga champion Partizan Belgrade has confirmed that Nikola Mirotic won’t join the team, covering the whole timeline of weeks of negotiations (the team said that interest dates back to June).
Partizan added that they were always willing to find a way to accomodate Mirotic requests and that a three-year contract was ready to be signed a few days ago. The club also points out at the fact that Mirotic gave his word that he would have signed with the club two weeks ago, in speaking with prominent figures including coach Obradovic and team captain Kevin Punter.
Partizan later added that the true motives of Mirotic’s sudden withdrawal from negotiations will be known in the upcoming days.
