Paolo Banchero says he’s the best overall player of the Draft: I’ll make an immediate impact in NBA
Banchero ended his freshman year at Duke with 17.2 points (48% FG, 34% £p, 73% FT), 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assist and 1.1 steals per game.
Paolo Banchero during the ESPN show for the NBA Draft Lottery explains why he should be the first overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft.
“Overall, I’m the best player, I feel like I check all the boxes…Whether it’s being a good teammate, being a star, doing whatever the coach needs. I’ve been aware of that since I’ve been playing basketball, and in the NBA, that’s not going to change…The team that bets on me from day one will be able to count on my versatility…There’s no position on the court where I don’t feel comfortable, with the ball in my hands or off the ball. I will have an immediate impact because I am ready physically and mentally. I’m ready to get to work.
“The players I take inspiration from? There are many, from some I have tried to ‘steal’ something like LeBron, Antetokounmpo, Tatum, Melo Anthony, but I am trying to make my own path and become a unique player….”.
