Panathinaikos will face Real Madrid in the 2024 EuroLeague final in Berlin, and at the end of the Greek team’s training, Jerian Grant was interviewed. These are his statements, as reported by Eurohoops.
Jerian Grant on the chemistry with Coach Ataman: “Basketball is about trust and situations. When I came here, the coach gave me a chance to lead the team as a point guard. It worked out well. We all do different things, but all to help the team. That’s what makes us dynamic: we have scorers, defenders and passers. Whatever the team needs in the game, any one of us guards can do our job.
On his hunger to win: “Basketball has been my whole life. When I was in the NBA for four or five years, the goal was to win a championship. But now I’m here in Europe at the highest level, so to be able to call myself a champion at the highest level will be really special.
On the final with Real Madrid and having to defends against Campazzo: “They are a great team, we are talking about the two best teams in Europe facing each other. Campazzo? I have defended against all the best players in Europe this year. For me it’s all about playing hard, making things difficult for them. Not to make it easy. I go out there and do my job.
