Oscar Tshiebwe named AP men’s College Basketball Player of the year

Tshiebwe has not yet decided whether or not to declare for the upcoming NBA Draft

The Associated Press has announced the men’s College Basketball Player of the year, Kentucky big man Oscar Tshiebwe.

 

Tshiebwe is the second Wildcats player to win this award, after Anthony Davis.

The former West Virginia big man finished the season with averages of 17.4 points, 15.2 rebounds (top since 1980, career-high with 28 against Western Kentucky…), 1.8 steals and 1.6 blocks, shooting 60% from the field and 69% from the free throw line.
