Ettore Messina’s era in Milan is beginning.
Messina accepted the multi-year proposal made by AX Armani Exchange Milano to become the new president and head coach of the Italian powerhouse.
Messina will leave the San Antonio Spurs where he was since 2014 as assistant coach of Gregg Popovich.
Messina will have full power on the market, also to break some contracts for next season with players far from his basketball.
The former head coach of Italy’s National Team will be joined by a GM/sports director. The name was expected to be another Spurs, Claudio Crippa, but sources close to him denied that he is leaving San Antonio.
