Olimpia Milan announces that Mr. Christos Stavropoulos will assume the position of club’s general manager “It’s an honor and a pleasure to start working for an historical institution like Olimpia Milan. I want to thank Mr. Giorgio Armani and Mr. Leo Dell’Orco for their trust. The new era, under Ettore Messina leadership, will be based on a lot of work and very few words.”

Stavropoulos attended the University of Trieste and lived in Italy. In 2000, he returned to Greece to take up the position of sports director of Olympiacos. A year later, he became general manager, then managing director and again in 2005 general manager until 2019. Under his leadership, Olympiacos won the EuroLeague in 2012 and 2013, the 2013 Intercontinental Cup, won three times the Greek championship (2012, 2015 and 2016) and three times the Greek Cup (2002, 2010, 2011).
