Olimpia is coming back to work, with 7 newcomers, looking forward to the Paris European Games

There are seven newcomers compared to last season: Jerian Grant, Devon Hall, Troy Daniels, Davide Alviti, Nik Melli, Pippo Ricci and Dinos Mitoglou.

Olimpia Milano is preparing to resume its activity. The 15 players on the roster are coming or coming back to Milano. On Monday 23 August, the first team practice will take place at the Mediolanum Forum, where the team will spend the entire first part of its preseason. There are seven newcomers compared to last season: Jerian Grant, Devon Hall, Troy Daniels, Davide Alviti, Nik Melli, Pippo Ricci and Dinos Mitoglou. The coaching staff presents a new face as well, the one of Gianmarco Pozzecco who has been added to the other assistants of Coach Ettore Messina: Mario Fioretti, Stefano Bizzozero and Marco Esposito.

The highlight of the pre-season is represented by the "European Games" to be played in Paris, on 11 and 12 September, when Olimpia will first face Paris Basketball and then Asvel Villeurbanne (Alba Berlin will also be there, but Olimpia won’t face the German title holders). Before flying to Paris, Olimpia will play three informal scrimmages, to be played in its practice facility, against Cantù (on August 28th) and twice against the EuroLeague defending champions of Anadolu Efes Istanbul (on September 2nd and 4th). Obviously, the scrimmages are going to be played behind closed doors.

All this to try to be ready during the Italian Super Cup (in Bologna), in its new Final Eight format. Olimpia is already qualified to the quarterfinals and is waiting to learn the name of its opponent on Saturday 18 September between Treviso, Brescia and Napoli. The semi-final is scheduled for Monday 20 and the final for Tuesday 21, if the team will qualify. Virtus Bologna, Brindisi and Pesaro are the other teams admitted to the bracket. Olimpia is the incoming title holder.
