Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid named NBA Players of the Month

The two big men are also among the main candidates for the MVP

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić and Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid have been named the Kia NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for games played in January.

Jokic averaged 26.6 points, 13.3 rebounds and 9 assists in 16 games (11 W), while Embiid produced 34 points, 10.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 15 games (12 W).
