Nik Stauskas says he will undergo season ending surgery following departure from Baskonia

Nik Stauskas parted ways with Baskonia due to a knee injury.
The Canadian shooter announced that he will undergo surgery and his season is over.

Thank you to @baskonia1959 and all of it’s fans for welcoming me with open arms this year. I feel lucky to have played for such an amazing organization with such passionate fans. This decision hasn’t been easy, but unfortunately I’ve been battling a knee injury since the beginning of the season and it’s something that I needed to address. After speaking with doctors, the team, my agent and my family, we all decided it was best for me to get surgery and focus on getting myself healthy. Unfortunately this means my season will be cut short and I no longer will be with the team. This is a frustrating time for me because I had high hopes and expectations coming into this season, but my health is my number one priority at this point. Thank you again to everyone who made my experience in Spain an amazing one. Road to recovery starts now. Love you guys ❤️
