NBPA’s Michele Roberts says players really want to play, need level of certainty
Roberts said to ESPN she plans to speak with players on all 30 teams over the next week and gauge their reaction to the NBA’s plans for reopening.
In an interview with ESPN, NBPA Executive Director Michele Roberts said the “overwhelming” sentiment from communicating with players across the league has been that “they really want to play” and resume the 19-20 NBA season.
“It’s time. It’s time,” Roberts said. “It’s been two and a half months of, ‘What if?’ My players need some level of certainty. I think everybody does.”
