NBA studying playing games next season with arenas at 15-20% capacity
Commissioner Silver has warned players for the possibility of playing an entire season behind closed doors.
The NBA is studying how teams can get creative and play games next season at 15 percent to 20 percent capacity, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
“Assuming a vaccine isn’t coming any time soon, are there things we can do in our arenas where maybe we can’t have 19,000 people, but maybe we can have 5,000 people? Maybe we can have 8,000 people? Maybe there are protocols allowing for it?” said Adam Silver during a conference call last week. NBA commissioner also prepared players for the possibility of playing the entire 20-21 season without fans in attendance.
