Nate Sestina agrees to deal with Nizhny Novgorod
The rookie from Kentucky will begin his pro career in Russia
Rookie power forward Nate Sestina has agreed to a deal with Russian team Nizhny Novgorod of the Basketball Champions League and VTB League, a source told Sportando.
Sestina spent four years (including a redshirt season) at Bucknell before transferring to Kentucky. Under coach John Calipari, he averaged 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 20 minutes per game while shooting 40.7 from 3-point range.
He was an All-Patriot League Second Team in his final year at Bucknell as he averaged 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
