Monaco steals Game 1 from UNICS Kazan in Eurocup Finals
Mitrovic’s side will have the chance to win the cup Friday in Russia
A spectacular Game 1 of the 2021 Eurocup Finals saw a narrow win for Monaco, who will have the chance to conquer its first ever Eurocup title on Friday’s Game 2 in Kazan. Three free throws from Knight and Gray decided the game for Monaco, who was able to tighten the rope defensively after Theodore’s go-ahead basket with 47 seconds to play.
Gray led Monaco with 23 points, with Lessort adding 17 and Bost 16 for Monaco; a surprising Klimenko had 22 in just 22 minutes for UNICS.
