Tomislav Gabrić, a Croatian forward, is the new player for Polski Cukier Start Lublin, with whom he has signed a one-year contract.
Gabrić was born on August 17, 1995, in the town of Oklaj, in the south of Croatia. For a large part of his basketball career, he played in teams from his home country (KK Jolly Jadranska Banka, KK Cibona Zagreb, KK Split). His first overseas team was KK Metalac Valjevo in Serbia, for which he played in the 2015/16 season. The following year he played for Romania’s BCM U Pitesti, and in the 2017/18 season, he played for Latvia’s BK Ventspils.
Polish fans might remember him from the 2020/21 season when he played for Enea Astoria Bydgoszcz, led by coach Artur Gronk. Subsequently, Gabrić played for Germany’s EWE Baskets Oldenburg, Elan Chalon in France, and Kaposvári KK in Hungary. In the last season, he played 33 matches, averaging 15.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
