Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch suffered a serious injury to his right knee after a sideline collision during his team’s 122-116 victory over the Phoenix Suns to clinch the series.
The incident occurred when Timberwolves point guard Mike Conley, who had been ejected after being fouled by the Suns’ Devin Booker, inadvertently bumped into Finch. The coach was assisted by players and coaching staff before being taken off the court.
It was later confirmed that Finch suffered a torn patella tendon. Following the incident, Finch was taken off the field on a trolley and did not attend the post-match press conference, being replaced by assistant coach Micah Nori.
