Michael Jordan game-worn UNC jersey sells for $1.38M at auction

It is the only known Jordan game-worn jersey from his college career.

A Michael Jordan game-worn North Carolina Tar Heels jersey sold for $1.38M at an auction on Saturday.

The jersey was photo-matched to the 1982-83 season, when Jordan won the NCAA player of the year award from Sporting News. The jersey previously sold at an auction for $63,500 in 1999, which was a record at the time.

The $1.38M price also broke a record for a previous game-worn Jordan jersey from the 1986-87 season, which sold for $480,000.
