The Miami Heat have landed Andre Iguodala and agreed to a two-year, $30 million contract extension with the former Warriors.
But the Heat want also Danilo Gallinari and are working with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a contract extension for Gallo and to extend the trade with the Grizzlies to a third team (OKC).
Miami wants also to preserve the cap space to have room for a max contract in the summer of 2021.
Andre Iguodala agreed to a two-year, $30M extension with Heat, but second year of deal includes team option that gives Heat cap flexibility, per sources. Miami wants space for max player in summer of 2021. https://t.co/7D8zauII8T

Heat Summer 2021 Update: Subtracting Winslow ($13M TO) and adding Iguodala (~$15M TO) takes Miami’s projected max cap room (if they optimize Nunn/Robinson cap holds) to $36M+ (with likely ability to reach $37.5M req’d for 30% max). And if they decline Iguodala’s TO, it’s $50M+!
