Mavs to sign Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, waive Ryan Broekhoff

MKG will strengthen the Mavericks

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is joining the Dallas Mavericks after reaching buyout with the Charlotte Hornets.
The forward will replace Ryan Broekhoff who has been waived by Dallas.

Per ESPN, Kidd-Gilchrist, the No. 2 overall pick of the 2012 draft, fell out of the Hornets’rotation this season before receiving a buyout last week.

Kidd-Gilchrist’s jump shot is his biggest flaw, as he’s a career 28% 3-point shooter. He averaged 8.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 433 games for Charlotte.
