Marvin Williams agrees to buyout with Hornets, plans to sign with Bucks

Former Hawks forward expected to strengthen Milwaukee’s roster.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Marvin Williams Jr. and the Charlotte Hornets have agreed to a buyout. Former Hawks forward was on a $15 million expiring contract and will clear waivers to become an unrestricted free agent.

Williams has been with the Hornets since 2014 and will give a contending team frontcourt versatility. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Williams plans to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks once he clears waivers.
