Marko Arapovic inks with Krka Novo Mesto

Krka have agreed on cooperation for the 2021/22 season with another experienced name. They have greeted 25-year old Croatian player Marko Arapović.

Marko Arapović, the 207 cm tall power forward, has been born in 1996 in Zagreb, where he started his playing career. First he played for Kaptol, then he spent two years at Cibona. He then moved to Cedevita, where he stayed until 2018. Afterwards, Marko has become a member of Galatasaray.

With Cedevita he spent two seasons in the EuroLeague, while he played the EuroCup with Cibona, Cedevita and Galatasaray.

Marko Arapović successfully played for the youth national team categories. He won the first trophy in 2011, when he won the U16 European Championship, while he later won the U18 silver and bronze in 2013 and 2014. He won the U17 bronze and U19 silver at the 2012 and 2015 World Championships.

The surname Arapović has been linked to Krka for two decades. In 2001/02 season, Marko’s father Franjo has worn the Novo mesto side jersey.

"I am really happy to have signed with Krka. I cannot wait for the season to start. I have had a conversation with head coach Dalibor Damjanović. I am ready for everything that he expects from me and my team. I wish for us to have a successful and healthy season. I am happy to be playing for the club, for which I used to cheer as a child, when my father used to play here," Arapović looks forward to moving to Novo mesto.
