Mark Cuban: Worst officiating non call mistake possibly in the history of the NBA

The Mavericks will file a protest against their 127-125 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Dallas

The Mavericks will file a protest against their 127-125 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Dallas last night due to confusion over possession that led to an easy basket for the Warriors at the end of the third quarter. Team owner Mark Cuban announced this to ESPN. After a timeout, Warriors center Kevon Looney scored an uncontested basket from a sideline inbound with 1:56 left in the third quarter.

The Mavericks, believing they had possession, were lined up on their offensive end of the court, which Cuban attributed to an officiating error. Cuban also tweeted his account of the incident Wednesday night, saying the refs had initially said it was Mavs ball but changed their decision during the timeout without informing the Mavericks.
