Mantas Rubstavicius set to leave Zalgiris for Lietkabelis

After three years in the Zalgiris system, Mantas Rubstavicius is heading home to Panevezys, as he joins Lietkabelis. Despite parting ways, Zalgiris retains the right to bring back Rubstavicius to Kaunas after the season.
The 20-year-old guard, standing at 198 cm has already worn the cardinal red jersey in the 2018-2019 season, as he played a total of 9 minutes through 5 games and scored 5 points.
Ever since 2019, Rubstavicius has been playing with Zalgiris-2 and had a couple chances to try his hand with the men‘s team. He also made a debut on the EuroLeague hardwood.
Last season in the NKL, the guard averaged 10.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and an efficiency of 8.1 over the course of 20 minutes per game.
Rubstavicius is currently with the Lithuanian U20 national team, as they prepare for the European championship starting in Podgorica this weekend.
