Malone: I don’t care what people think, Nikola Jokic is the MVP of this league

The Serbian center is producing 24.6 points, 11.7 rebounds and 10 assists in 55 games

Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone has no doubt, Nikola Jokic deserves the NBA regular season MVP award for the third consecutive year.

"If you’re looking for a super athlete to win MVP, he’s not your candidate," Malone said of Jokic. "If you’re looking for a great player that impacts winning in every possible way, whose team is first place in the Western Conference, then he’s your man. Frankly, I don’t give a damn what people think. I know he’s the MVP and his teammates know that and all the fans here in Denver and back home in Serbia know that."

Jokic continues to improve, despite coming off two incredible seasons.

The Serbian center is producing 24.6 points, 11.7 rebounds and 10 assists in 55 games, shooting an incredible 67% from two-point range, 39% from beyond the arc and 82% from the foul line.

Last night Jokic became the 6th player in NBA history to cross the 100 triple-double mark.
