Former NBA and EuroLeague forward/center Malcolm Thomas has just signed his contract with Shanxi of the Chinese Basketball Association, his agency, Slash Sports, told Sportando.
Thomas is teaming up with his former San Diego State teammate and fellow Slash Sports client Jamaal Franklin.
Thomas spent the past two seasons in Europe with Khimki Moscow. Last year, he averaged 8.6 points, five rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.5 minutes per game in the EuroLeague.
Shanxi was also pursuing NBA veteran Michael Beasley, but the Chinese Basketball Association informed the team that Beasley could not play in the league due to his suspension for violating the NBA’s anti-drug policy, a source told Sportando’s Emiliano Carchia.
