Lucas Beaufort officially joins Limoges

Recruitment for the 2023-2024 season begins with the arrival of the first JFL (French-trained player). After five seasons at SIG Strasbourg, where he came from the training center, Lucas Beaufort is joining the Limoges bench.
Born on May 24, 2002 in Strasbourg, Lucas joined the SIG training center in 2017 at the age of 15. He then played with the club’s youth team (U21).
Starting from the 2019-2020 season, he joined the SIG pro team while continuing his journey in the youth ranks. However, he played very little during his two seasons with the pros (1 minute and 1 match in 2019-2020; 3 minutes and 3 matches in 2020-2021).
He was then loaned for the 2021-2022 season to Aix-Maurienne team with which he played 31 matches, finishing with an average of 7.9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
Lucas then returned to his home club, where he played 28 matches under the SIG jersey during the 2022-2023 season, finishing with an average of 3.5 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and an overall rating of 4.3.
