Kyrie Irving described the end of the Dallas Mavericks’ season as “bitter” but emphasized the “really positive journey” the team had.
After the 106-88 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Irving said, “We answered a lot of questions this year about what we were capable of doing and now it’s just about being consistent.”
Irving finished the game with 15 points but struggled with his shooting. Despite the disappointment, he expressed optimism about the Mavericks’ future and the potential to build a team that regularly competes for the title. “I want to be remembered as one of the best teams of this era,” he stated.
