Jokubaitis on his expectations at Maccabi Tel Aviv and the comparison with Jasikevicius
Rokas Jokubaitis spoke about his arrival at Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and the comparison with Sarunas Jasikevicius.
Rokas Jokubaitis left Barcelona over the summer to sign with Maccabi Tel Aviv. The Lithuanian player spoke to Eurohoops about his move to the Israeli club and the comparison with Sarunas Jasikevicius, a former Lithuanian basketball player and current coach of Fenerbahce who, like Jokubaitis, left Barcelona in 2003 to join Maccabi.
Jokubaitis’ words: “Comparison with Jasikevicius? Interesting, I hope to do at least some of what he did here. It means a lot to me to be here, there are high expectations and I have faith in the coaches, I can’t wait to meet the fans.
On his move from Barcelona to Maccabi: “It’s time to take this step. I accepted the challenge and I can’t wait to start. When you come to this club you are at the top, I have very high goals”.
