Nikola Jokic: I don’t have goals in my life…I’m just going with the flow

Jokic is among the favorites for the MVP

Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic is definitely not the classic NBA star. The Serbian big man does not like the spotlight, and he is not obsessed with proving his worth at all costs.

For example, the Serbian center does not seem particularly interested in winning the MVP for the second year in a row.

“It doesn’t mean anything special, I’m just trying to win games”.

Jokic revealed to SI.com that he never dreamed of becoming an NBA All Star.

"No, you cannot [dream about] that," Jokić says. "Even when I came here I didn’t think about playing. I just came here to work out and be an ’NBA player’ in some way, so I never dream about it. I don’t have goals in my life. I’m just going with the flow."

The Nuggets big man ranks in the top 10 in total points (6th), rebounds (1st), and assists (6th). He’s averaging 26.1 points (57% FG, 36% 3P, 80% FT), 13.9 rebounds and 8.1 assists.
