MoraBanc Andorra has announced the departure of Natxo Lezkano as head coach after a series of disappointing results. Lezkano, who played a key role in the team’s promotion to the ACB, leaves with the team sitting 15th in the standings at 5-12.
The club now targets Joan Plaza as his replacement. Plaza, with vast Liga Endesa experience at clubs such as Real Madrid, Unicaja, and Real Betis, last coached AEK Athens. Known for his tactical expertise and ability to transform struggling teams, the Catalan coach appears to be the ideal candidate to lead Andorra’s comeback.
With half the season remaining, MoraBanc Andorra aims to improve their results and secure their position in the league under Plaza’s leadership.
