The Houston Rockets beat the New York Knicks 114-110 and James Harden became legend.

James Harden scored his career high 61 points tying Kobe Bryant’s mark for a visiting player at the current Madison Square Garden.

James Harden finished 17-of-38 from the floor on Wednesday. He was only 5-of-20 on 3-pointers but 22-of-25 from the line, and he grabbed 15 rebounds. Harden is the first player in NBA history to attempt 20 3s and 20 free throws in a game and the fifth player in league history with multiple career 60-point games.

Per ESPN, “This is one of the historical buildings in the sport that we have,” Harden said. “Obviously, the fans are one of the best that we have in this league. And so it’s pretty cool to come out here and put on a show for them.”
