Italbasket, Eubanks: “I’d love to play in the Olympic Games”
Drew Eubanks spoke about the possibility of starting his adventure with an Italbasket jersey.
Drew Eubanks is one of the possible names for the future of Italian basketball: the Phoenix Suns center was interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport. These are his statements.
On the importance he can have in Italy and if he knows any Azzurri: “Yes, Nico Mannion. We often train together in the off-season, he is a great guy. As for the technical talk, to be honest, I wouldn’t know what to answer. I don’t follow FIBA basketball so I have no idea, I would certainly like to be able to play in an Olympics.
On whether the proximity between the end of the NBA season and the Azzurri’s summer commitments could be a problem: “I don’t think so, I like to play competitive games even in the off-season. In fact, the idea of playing different basketball during the summer is intriguing to me and can only be beneficial to my NBA career. The prospect of joining a new team intrigues me, but let’s see what happens with the paperwork and then we’ll decide.
