Heat to increase home attendance capacity to 17,000 fans
The figure more than doubles the previously announced capacity of 8,600 fans
The Miami Heat increased their home attendance capacity to 17,000 fans for the upcoming Playoff matchups against the Milwaukee Bucks (the first game is scheduled for Thursday). The number represents more than double the previously announced capacity of 8,600.
The new announcement also means that the team are no longer requires fans to enforce physical distancing between seats, although other health and safety protocols remain in place, including a requirement to wear masks while in the arena.
