Heat acquiring Terry Rozier from Charlotte for Lowry
A protected first round pick is going to the Hornets
Sources told ESPN on Tuesday morning that the Miami Heat are getting guard Terry Rozier from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Kyle Lowry and a protected first-round selection in 2027.
The talented shooting guard, who is averaging 23.2 points and 6.6 assists per game in the NBA, is now a member of the Heat after the trade.
The Hornets (10-31) will receive a lottery-protected choice in 2027 that becomes unprotected in 2028, according to sources. The Hornets are starting to amass future assets ahead of the trade deadline on February 8.
