Hall of Famer Paul Westphal diagnosed with brain cancer
Westphal has had a decorated career both as a player and as a coach.
Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Paul Westphal has been diagnosed with brain cancer, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski who refers to Westphal’s longtime friend Mike Lupica.
NBA champion with the Boston Celtics in the 70s, Westphal has been a 5-time All Star and 4-time All NBA as a player. As a coach, he led the Phoenix Suns to the 1993 NBA Finals and coached in two All Star Games in 1993 and 1995. His last experience dates back to 2016, when he served as an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets.
