The Memphis Grizzlies have announced the release of Mamadi Diakite.
The 27-year-old former Virginia big man joined the Grizzlies during the offseason in the trade that brought Ziaire Williams to the Nets.
Diakite, an NBA champion with the Bucks in his rookie season, played mostly in the G League last year (15.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks with the Austin Spurs).
