Greek League officially ends season, unanimously named Panathinaikos as champion
Aris and Paok avoid relegation as no team will descend to second division.
Greek League HEBA has officially end the 2019-20 season after a general assembly, and held a unanimous vote which declared Panathinaikos as champion.
Assembly has also decided that no team will descend to second division, and as a result PAOK and Aris avoided relegation. Greek League could decide to expand the league to 16 clubs next season, promoting two teams from the second division.
According to Eurohoops, the clubs are in talks for a possible €200,000 fee per club to participate in the first division, a fee which could be also used as a guarantee for players’ payments.
