De’Anthony Melton of the Golden State Warriors will undergo surgery on his left ACL and will miss the rest of the season, the team announced Wednesday.
Signed to a one-year, $12.8 million deal, Melton played only six games due to injuries. Coach Steve Kerr and teammate Draymond Green expressed regret over his absence and praised his contribution to the team. Lindy Waters III will start in his place.
The Warriors can file a disabled player exception but may be limited by salary cap constraints.
