The German BBL announced that the plan is to finish the season with a 10-team tournament in one location that will be announced on May 4. The tournament will be played only if the health of players, coaches and all the other people involved will be guaranteed.
The teams will be divided in two groups of five teams each. After the round robin there will be quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. The tournament will be played in 3 weeks. All the games will be played behind closed doors.
The ten clubs that would play are: Bayern Munich, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, Crailsheim, ALBA Berlin, Oldenburg, RASTA Vechta, Brose Bamberg, Göttingen, Ratiopharm Ulm and Fraport Skyliners. The other BBL teams voted against this scenario and will not compete in the tournament.
